Wilkes-Barre Gets a First Time Winner on Saturday

03/06/10

What a show to close out our leg of the Gravity Slashers Tours.  Justin Stoltzfus who grew up locally and calls Honeybrook, PA his home- won his first ever competition in front of his home state!  The crowd ran the show tonight by getting loud and rowdy and the riders responded to their wishes and got awesome!

Keith Weinland had one of his best performances of the year on his Gas-Gas trials machine and the crowd was amazed by what they saw him do!  The 50/50BMX.com team nailed it with tricks normally only seen on TV!

The FMX Final was the hottest part of the night.  Casey Higgins started it off in style on his booming YZF450 and pulled 92.2 points.  Ben Veyna rocked next and was trying for his second win by knocking Casey out of the Gravity Slashers Hotseat.  Justin Stoltzfus came next and snatched the win away from Ben Veyna and scored a 93.7.  Last out was flip master, JJ Romans who had some mechanical issues at the start of the run. A straight jump hurt his score and he knew it during the run.  So what does he do- as many flips as his head cold influenced body would let him, even running after the clock!  The win however, went to Justin in an emotional night for the first time winner.

That is it for us but the other Gravity Slashers tour has a couple of dates left and so do the Nuclear Cowboyz.  Get your tickets and show up!  Check us out on Facebook at Gravity Slashers!
